Blooming Growth

Another week has come and gone. Although I spent a lot of time sewing and working on Twirling Tiny Sticks, the real fruition this week came in the form of flowers. My first gardenia bush that hasn’t suffered death by my hands gave birth to a gorgeous white bloom. I relished a good minute with my nose stuck in the middle of the beautifully intoxicating scent.

The next morning I met a just born orchid in my front yard. I’ve been waiting weeks to know what colors were inside those little green bulbs.

Despite these two beauties growing at home I couldn’t stop myself from visiting a local garden store to see if by chance they sold a tree with yellow blooms that keeps following me around town. I didn’t find the tree but I found what could be the most unique flower I’ve ever seen. A few dollars later this velvety ruffled celosia was on its way to a new home.

The only words I have today are ones of awe for nature. Spring, a time for new life, growth, possibilities, and flowers.

Beautiful flowers, Rosa. Our gardenia and full of blooms, too and one of my orchids is the same color as yours. These and other flowers certainly make me smile when I see and smell them outside. Thanks for sharing.
